Tiarne Petterwood is a Queenslander who has honed her football skills at local club level since she was seven years old. In 2015, Tiarne was named Football Brisbane's Player of the Year and received Football Brisbane's Golden Boot award too.
The former Logan Lightning striker and captain is now stepping up to the next level in her football career by signing up to The Gap Football Club's Women’s' NPL team for season 2018. Tiarne will bring her goal-scoring experience and pace to The Gap to enhance the striking power of the women's team.
"I am so pleased to be joining such an elite group of players and Rob Askew's knowledge as a coach will help me improve and take my game to the next level. I’m excited to be stepping up into the NPL and I look forward to being part of The Gap team and having a successful season.”
Coach Rob Askew said, “If there was one thing we missed last season, it was goals. Tiarne is our key signing for next season as she will take the pressure off Ruth and Greta and create another goal scoring threat for other teams to think about. She is a very talented player who I think will take her game to another level next season.”
Welcome Tiarne.
