Both the boys and girls teams representing the North-West District recently won the Brisbane Met North Sport Regional 2014 Championships held at Pine Hills FC after remaining unbeaten during the two-day competition.
After a couple of weeks of trials for the teams in which over 100 primary school aged children from the areas 25 primary schools competed the coaches picked 14 boys and 14 girls to represent the District.
In the Boys competition The Gap FC were represented by Sami Porter (Hilder Road SS – far right front row), Bradley McLeod (Hilder Rd SS – second left front row), Lachlan Hobart (Ashgrove SS – back row third from right) & Zak Payne(Ashgrove SS – back row fourth from right). In the Girls competition The Gap FC were represented by Malia Pini, April Foxlee, Gabby Proctor and Laura Donaldson.
Special Congratulations must also go to April Foxlee & Gabby Proctor from our Under 12 mixed teams who have been selected to represent Brisbane North Primary School Girls at the Regional Championships which are being held at Mt Isa at the end of July.
