An update on how our junior and senior female teams performed in the Football Brisbane competitions over the weekend of 9–11 October.
- U12 Div 1 Girls – won 4-0 at home to Toowong
- U13 Div 1 Girls – won 1-0 away to Toowong
- U13 Div 2 Girls – lost 1-4 at home to Brighton Bulldogs
- U14 Div 2 Girls – drew 1-1 away to Bayside United
- U16 Div 1 Girls – won 4-0 away to Grange Thistle
- Women's City 3 Blue – won 2-0 away to Kangaroo Point Rovers
- Women's City 4 Blue – drew 1-1 away to North Brisbane
- Women's City 5 Blue – won 1-0 away to Toowong
Despite the majority of our teams being on the road at the weekend, we were still able to record 5 wins, 2 draws and only 1 defeat. Yet again there were some solid defensive displays resulting in another 5 clean sheets from the 8 matches, and a record of 15 goals scored and only 6 conceded.
A special mention this week for Eden C of the U16 Div 1 Girls who played in the brutal heat on Saturday lunchtime for the Women's City 3 side's win against KPR, played a 40-over cricket match on Sunday morning and then scored a hat-trick for the U16 Div 1 Girls on Sunday afternoon. An ironwoman in the making!
