Covidsafe reminder

By Juniors Editor on

Following the extension of Queensland Government restrictions to the Gold Coast region from 8 am tomorrow (in addition to the Greater Brisbane area), Queensland clubs are reminded of the importance of enforcing COVID Safe measures.

It is vital that all clubs, participants, parents, and spectators follow the Queensland Government’s COVID Safe Plan for Field Sports and FQ’s Return to Play guidelines when in attendance at any football activity.

Queensland Government officials may be in attendance at sporting venues across the state over the weekend to ensure clubs and venues are complying with COVID Safe guidelines.

Below are some important reminders for the Queensland football community.

Attendance at football activity

You must not attend any football activity if you:

  • have been unwell or had any flu-like symptoms
  • have been in contact with a known or suspected case of COVID-19
  • have had any respiratory symptoms
  • are at high risk from a health perspective, including the elderly and those with pre-existing medical health conditions

Attendance tracking

In line with the contact tracing requirements outlined in the COVID Safe Plan for Field Sports, records of attendance must be kept for all visitors to a club or venue including participants, parents, spectators, club staff and volunteers.

Clubs must have attendance tracking measures in place, either using the QR code reporting resources provided by Football Queensland or by implementing another method of reporting.

All visitors to a club or venue must sign in and out on every visit, even if only visiting for a brief period of time.

Social distancing

All visitors to a club or venue must maintain social distancing (1.5m) at all times.

By complying with these COVID Safe measures, we can ensure that all members of our football community can continue to enjoy our game.
