The Board of The Gap Football Club continues to focus on keeping our fees as low as possible, while seeking to provide opportunities for our players at all levels to develop and compete to the best of their ability.
Our fees include components for coaching expenses and equipment, as well as facilities maintenance.
In 2018 the new part-time paid position of Administrator was introduced to help us with the ever-increasing workload that is straining our core volunteer base. This has over the past couple of years proved to be a very successful initiative and will continue this year.
Approximately 3% of the Juniors revenue will again be used to support our men's first team. Part of our overall training plan for 2021 is for senior players to commit their time and energy in support of Youth teams.
We are required to pay fees to Football Federation Australia (FFA), Football Brisbane (FB) and Football Queensland (FQ), and each is factored into the Junior fees for each age group. These fees include player insurance.
All referee fees from U6 to U16 are paid through club payments into bank accounts and therefore no cash is collected on game day for referees.
All players are required to train in the club’s training kit. HP teams will have a black kit provided as part of the clothing that forms part of their fees package.
In an attempt to keep fees as low as possible, it has been decided that the yellow kit will not be provided as part of the fees package for youth players, as many players are able to use one from a past season. Where a new yellow training kit is required for 2021, players will be able to purchase it when registering, or later through the club website.
We also issue sublimated playing strips for all our Youth teams in part to maximise sponsorship exposure and align with our club strategy that everyone plays in the same colours and strip. For 2021 we are pleased to announce that we have sponsors for each age group, from U12 to U16.
