Player pathways – a clear way forward
During an in-depth review of the men's section football operations that led to the development of our strategy for the next three years, it became clear we needed to establish clear player pathways. To do this, we needed to:
- be transparent on the role each of our teams play,
- seek endorsement from the Board; and
- ensure this is clearly communicated to all interested parties.
This now gives the Board, coaches and players a clear anchor point that should drive all activities, including recruitment and retention of players, relating to the various teams.
The following table shows the role, purpose and mission for each team that was endorsed by the Board at our August 2018 board meeting.
