Returning players to The Gap RSJPL programme (must have played in an RSJPL Gap team in 2011) - Fees $900.00

New players to The Gap RSJPL programme – Fees $990.00

Family discount: As the volunteer levy and art union are payable only once per family, a discount of $130.00 per child applies to a second or third child registering in the programme.*

All players must pay a $200.00 deposit by 30 November, 2011 – directly into the club bank account.

RSJPL Coaches for 2012:

The Gap is pleased to announce the following coaching appointments to the Girls JPL Program for 2012.

Under 16 RSJPL Coach: Kelvin Wheeler

Under 14 RSJPL Coach: Wayne Gibbon

Under 12 RSJPL Coach:  Malcolm Palu

DoF RSJPL Program: Mark Boyd

Kelvin Wheeler continues in his position as JPL Under 16 coach. Kelvin has brought depth of experience to the RSJPL Program having coached Football Brisbane RSJPL teams and Football Brisbane Rep teams Queensland State teams for the past five years. In this time he has also coached Open Women’s Division One teams at Mitchelton and Open Women’s Premier league teams at Queensland Lions.In 2011 Kelvin coached The Gap Under 16 RSJPL team in a successful season and The Gap Open Women’s Premier League Reserves team who finished the season as runners up and Grand Finalists. Kelvin holds an AFC ‘B’ Licence.

Wayne Gibbon is also continuing his association with JPL Program at The Gap in 2012 having worked successfully with the Under 12 JPL team in 2011. In 2011 The Gap Under 12 JPL team remained undefeated with five girls being selected for Football Queensland Metro Squad.Wayne has also coached junior teams at Kenmore FC and Taringa Rovers FC and maintains his association with Kenmore FC. In 2011 he was awarded Kenmore FC  Coach of the Year.  Wayne is a medical practitioner and has held academic appointments both in UK and Australia. He has found a place for football in his professional life and his research into football sports injuries has led to his being invited to address national and international sport and healthcare organisations. Wayne is currently completing his ‘C’ Licence.

Malcolm Palu has coached youngsters in football, futsal and athletics. Previous experience with football coaching includes eight years with the Epping YMCA Football Club, in the North-West Sydney Women’s Football Association. Although teams he has coached have gained premierships and won grand finals, he considers an important role is to provide an enjoyable and encouraging environment for developing a team and all its payers. Malcolm holds Junior and Youth Licences and will be working towards his Level C Licence in 2012. The Palu family joined The Gap after they moved from Sydney and this year, have three talented girls in the JPL program at The Gap.

Mark Boyd returned to The Gap in 2011 to take up the position of Junior Director of Football and is Director of Football for the JPL program in 2012. Mark’s previous experience includes High Performance Manager / Football Manager for Central Coast Football, a position that he held between 2006 and 2010; State Coaching and Development Manager for Football Federation, Northern Territory and Regional Coaching and Development Manager for Far North Queensland Junior Football association. Much of his work has been concerned with the identification and development of young players and coaches of young players to elite and rep programs, and the development of resources and programs for developing players and coaches. Mark holds an AFC ‘A’ Licence.

All of our girls teams, including the RSJPL girls teams train on the oval at the Gap State High School.

Training times and days will set in accordance with field availability and coach preference.
