Our competition teams can only do well if we provide quality football opportunities for our younger players coming through the ranks. For many, many years, the Brusasco Shield, in honour of our club patrons, Ian and Patsy Brusasco, was a major event for our club and Brisbane junior football. In 2016 it made a long overdue return to Walton Bridge. It was a huge success with more than 20 teams, great support from our teams, volunteers and senior men’s players who helped out. The day was made particularly special with both Ian and Patsy present to give out awards.
