The Gap FC PlayStation® 4 NPL Women and Men's Capital League 2 teams both claimed premiership titles this weekend by taking unassailable leads at the top of their respective tables with a couple of rounds still to play.

The Gap FC Women won their second straight Women's PlayStation® 4 NPL Queensland Women’s Premiership with a 3-0 win over Eastern Suburbs at Walton Bridge Reserve on Saturday night. The title comes after winning the Premiership-Championship double in the competition's inaugural season in 2015.

Gators surged to a two-goal margin at half-time after Greta Bodey’s opener, her 19th this year, was followed shortly after by Charlotte Bohl. Ruth Blackburn sealed the win with 15 minutes remaining to end Easts hopes of catching the unbeaten league leaders.

The Men's Capital League 2 team secured their premiership title and promotion to Capital League 1 next year with a 1-0 win over third-placed Acacia Ridge with Marc Wheeler scoring his third goal of the season.
