It improves results on the park; it improves the attitude of players, coaches and officials; it improves the image of the club within the broader Brisbane footballing community; it improves the image of the club within The Gap community and all of these things in combination make the club more attractive to potential sponsors.

Gerry has been tenacious in his pursuit of changes at the club to bring it more in line with his philosophy and it’s to his credit that he has decided to remain at the club to entrench that new way of thinking.

Gerry will also have a role with the junior section of the club. He will be director of coaching for the mixed teams U13 and older and will play a lead role in coach education and setting the tone for grading and other pure footballing areas of the club’s operations.

The Gap looks forward to working with Gerry to build on the hard work of the past two seasons to make the next two even more successful and satisfying.
