I would like to take this opportunity to publicly apologize to Stuart Watt and his U12’s team for my outburst last night regarding ball boy duties.  I was totally out of order and it was unprofessional.  Unfortunately I was also ill informed of the role your boys were given, as in previous games from round 1 to last night, all teams have been guard of honor and ball boys for the game.  Due to the enormous pressure for promotion in this game it was of the utmost importance to retrieve the balls as quickly as possible.  It was only at the end of the game that I was confronted and told to stick the football club up my backside because the message had got back that I had said that the team was pathetic.  This was not the case at all, I said that the “situation was pathetic” not in any way implying anything about the actual team.  It was at this stage I was told that the U12’s were only guard of honor and were also there to play a game at half time only.  So once again I do apologise for my outburst and I hope I have not embarrassed the club in any way.

I wish The Gap Football Club all the best in the coming weeks in the finals and in season 2009.
