The Gap’s Premier Division 2 team returns home this evening to face fellow contenders and long-time local rivals Pine Hills after a magnificent hard-fought 2-1 away victory over Western Spirit at Kippen Park last week. Round 4’s results saw four clubs – The Gap, Pine Hills, Western Spirit and Southside Eagles – come level on nine points behind leader Slacks Creek’s 12. The Gap hopes that their strong run of form will continue tonight with a solid win over Ashley Hampstead’s outfit that will see them edge ahead of the pack.
To whet your appetite, this evening’s action begins at 6.15pm with the start of the Reserves game also against Pine Hills, who are currently leading the Division 2 Reserves competition. The main clash will kick off at 8.15pm, with a large and enthusiastic crowd sure to belt out its enthusiastic and unstinting support to Gerry’s crew. Car parking and the best viewing is sure to be at a premium, so come down early to bag your spot and support your Gap Gators in their challenge for the Division 2 title.
