When it’s been freshly laid …

Field 1 with freshly laid turf
Anyone who’s been past the club in recent months will no doubt have noticed the changed coming over the pitches. First they were dirt, but now fields one and two have been fully turfed and the rooball fields three and four have been heavily seeded – a process called stolonisation – and are sprouting like crazy.

This work is being carried out by contractors brought in by the council, which is contributing more than $160,000 to the project.

We are now praying for rain to ensure the grass takes as strongly as possible before the season begins.
