The club has been successful in securing another two council grants. The first of these will pay for a water fountain on field one and to replace the toilets in The Gap Football Club with waterwise fixtures.

A second grant of $55,000 will pay for a complete renovation of the canteen. Plans for the changes to the canteen have been drawn up and are being finalised now, but because the season is not that far away, work on this is likely to be scheduled for the June-July holidays.

In other news, there has been something of a calamitous retaining wall collapse at the club. The rain, while good for the grass, has led to some subsidence in the wall which separates the car park from the clubhouse. The bad news is that it will be very expensive to fix. The good news is that, at this stage, the council is going to fund the repair.
