The club has been successful in securing almost $100,000 worth of grants which will go directly towards ensuring the playing surface on the main field is as good as it can be.
Some of the money will be spent on rehabilitation of the creek that runs alongside the club. This will then become a water source for the field.
Other facets of the grants package include funding for water tanks to be placed alongside the clubhouse and the installation of water-saving devices around the club – toilets, shower heads and taps.
The club would like to thank all those involved in securing these grants, especially our Treasurer Glenys Wilkinson. Thanks also to club secretary Lee Gannon who is fast becoming an expert on the upkeep of sporting fields, so many hours has he poured into the care and maintenance of the fields at the club.
